St Day is in the north country of Cornwall, wild, windswept and rather beautiful, once in its hey day it was a central tin mining area until surpassed by the town of Redruth. The tin mining industry has now died out in St Day, but it is now heavily populated with cottages and villas that were once occupied by local miners and mine captains.
