This portfolio of images is my successful Associateship Distinction Panel with The Royal Photographic Society, Bath, England in 2011. The Rabari women that I have photographed come from the desert regions of north-west Gujarat, India. Travelling and photographing indigenous tribal people of India is a passion having spent many years exploring the Western States of India. Whilst living in the village of Dasada during the winter months of 2010 - 2011, I became aware of the immediate beauty and traditional attire of these women. I also realised the limited time we have left to gaze and appreciate their beauty due to the influx of Western attire now encroaching on these people. This was the inspiration for my Associateship.
